Arnold not only finished his English Championship in 6 straight shows, but he ended the year by becoming England's Top Pembroke Corgi in 1996, and winning the Leslie Perrins Trophy. He also was the first recipient of The Nutcracker Trophy presented to the winner of the most CC's (Challenge Certificates) and won Top Dog spot for the breed in the Dog World/Pedigree Chum Table.

Arnold was awarded Best In Show win at the Working Breeds Association of Wales in the spring of 1997. It was the first time a Welsh breed has taken top honours in an All-Breed show in Wales. The judge on this occasion was Monica Boggia Black who gave him his first CC the previous year.

Best In Show Welsh Corgi League Diamond Jubilee 1998

In 1998, we traveled to England to watch the Welsh Corgi League Diamond Jubilee show. It was only the second time a show of this kind was held as Jubilee shows are only once every 10 years. It was a thrill of a lifetime that our boy was deemed Best of Breed at this event judged by breed specialists Peggy Franks (Pengavin) and Margo Parsons (Deavitte).
